Our Advisory Team
David R. Anderson
David Anderson is an owner of Moneywise. As a licensed investment advisor, he meets with clients, prepares financial plans, develops strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals, and makes investment recommendations*. David is also the lead host of the Moneywise Radio Show, which airs from noon to 1:00 p.m. weekdays on KERN 1180 AM and 96.1 FM.
David has 10 years of financial planning experience, with a specialty in retirement planning and portfolio management*. He is also a licensed California insurance agent. He studied technical sales at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah.
“My core philosophy is that to become financially independent you need to focus on those things you can control rather than those that you can’t control, like tax law. Focus on your own personal management,” he says.
David gained an unexpected new role in the community: lead host of the radio show. This has allowed his personality to emerge as one who can break down a complex financial issue and not only make it understandable, but also make it humorous. David is regularly called upon by local media as an expert in the field of finance.
“It’s a great way to communicate with clients and educate the community on how to be financially responsible,” he said.
David has volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children and is the father of three children adopted through the foster system. He enjoys ocean kayaking, playing guitar and writing music.
